My Next Big Adventure

My education in Creative Writing has kicked off...sort of.

I packed my shit and hauled ass northwest to my new home, arriving at the small dorm room near the end of the hall Thursday afternoon. Now I'm sitting in the lobby, playing both internet connection roulette because my router is refusing to cooperate, and the waiting game because I decided fuck the router, lets just get a USB Ethernet device and stab that into the wall (damn these newfangled lightweight laptops).

I miss my cats, my parents, and my brother, but I like it here. My roommate went home for the weekend, so I have the entire room to myself (even though it gets rather...eery...at night). I've got a drawer full of zebra cakes, several boxes of cheese-its, my own television, and a small army of stuffed animals. My desk is clean and the bathroom is just steps away from my front door. The RA is also really nice!

Though the lack of air conditioning and internet in my room is a problem.

Classes start Monday morning. My first class of college life?
